Cristian Machuca

Cristian Machuca is the Founder and Managing Principal of Machuca Ventures, a private real estate investment and consulting firm. As investors, Cristian and his partners specialize in the acquisition of distressed and opportunistic multifamily acquisitions in Texas and Southern California. As a consultant for the real estate industry, Cristian creates value for institutional and private owners of various types of commercial properties.

Cristian’s varied background in commercial real estate includes the acquisition, development, and asset management of various property types including multifamily, student housing, life sciences, and healthcare. At Cypress Equity Investments, Cristian supported the successful acquisition of multifamily projects representing $386 million in total project value and raised $242 million of debt and equity for those transactions. At Essex Property Trust, Cristian managed a team that oversaw capital investments for a portfolio of 35,000 units, representing approx. $10 billion in value.

Cristian Received his BS in Business Administration from The Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. Cristian is Co-Chair of the Economic Development Committee at The Valley Economic Alliance, a leading regional economic development non-profit in Los Angeles, CA.
