Earl Anderson

Earl Anderson has worked in the field of orthopaedics for almost 40 years as both a clinician and executive in both private physician practice and hospital settings.  He has extensive experience in new program development and has received several awards for his pioneer work in orthopaedic and sport medicine initiatives.. After starting his  position as CEO at Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics in 2001, group revenue grew by over 500%.  In 2020,  he helped facilitate the merger of 3 orthopedic practices in Tennessee to make Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance of one of the largest groups in the country, with 115 physicians, 32 locations and over 1,000 employees. He currently serves as Chief Development Officer along with other consulting engagements with other orthopaedic related entities. 

Most recently the American Association of Orthopaedic Executives awarded him with the 2024 Innovator Award recognizing his achievements in orthopaedics.  He has provided talks to various groups including The Advisory Board, American College of Healthcare Executives, Becker’s Healthcare Review, The OrthoForum and the Tennessee MGMA. 

Earl received both his undergraduate and Master of Public health degrees from the University of Tennessee, where he also served as a student and graduate assistant athletic trainer for the UT Athletic Department.  Earl has been active in the Knoxville community having volunteered for organizations such as the Arthritis Foundation, Special Olympics, the AD Foundation.  Earl is married to Kara and they have two children, and two grandchildren.
